DECKS AND EXTERIOR ENVELOPE

Central Oregon can be a region of extremes. From winters' deepest freezes to summers' full sun environments, the exterior envelope of your home sees it all. Flat, horizontal surfaces like decks and porches usually take the biggest brunt of the exposure especially with southerly and western exposures. Even if built with quality materials, maintenance is critical. Doing annual or bi-annual maintenance will extend the usable life of those surfaces and prolong replacement. Exterior window sills and siding also keep everything warm and dry. In snow country, the lower runs of siding can sometimes absorb moisture during a thaw if snow has been allowed to build up against the home during the winter. The expression - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - applies here. Whether it is your primary residence, a second home, or investment property, we’re here to help.

RENOVATION AND REFURBISHMENT

The key to a well-designed home is proper proportion. A home that flows well can seem to live larger than it is. The tiny house movement has driven that fact home. Over the last 30 years, architects and builders have also understood that well designed homes stand the test of time. Many of the homes built during these last few decades really just need updated surfaces and colors. Usually, these types of changes can be completed fairly quickly, with little disruption to the occupants, and can be completed cost effectively. If the home needs something more, like structural
